We just wrapped up the coast-to-coast McDonald’s Coffee Break Tour and one thing is perfectly clear: America LOVES the new Peppermint Hot Chocolate and Peppermint Mocha drinks! We hit a ton of cool places and served over 4,920 samples during this six-city, 3-week blitz for mega-PR agency Golin Harris. The tour started in The Bay area where news spread fast about these great new drinks when we hit the HQ of Twitter and Four Square. After a couple of stops at some ultra-hip San Francisco shopping areas, we headed for the Rocky Mountains and beautiful city of Denver. The shoppers at a downtown mall were thrilled to see our McD sampling vehicle where we passed out over 800 samples. We took the scenic route to Chicago (via Atlanta) and arrived just in time for the annual Magnificent Mile Lights Festival. Thousands of people participated in this event and we warmed a lot of them up from our prime spot near the ice rink in Millennium Park. By the time we got to Washington DC, we were filled with the Holiday spirit and happy to be part of the National Harbor Tree Lighting event. That place was hoppin’ and cold – so everyone was thrilled to get some hot Peppermint beverages! This whirlwind road-trip ended in Boston where we ventured into City Hall Plaza. The cities morning commuters were thirsty for the free cup of the tasty Peppermint Mocha and Peppermint Hot Chocolate. | I love the hats... not sure I could walk around with antlers on my head, but those hats are awesome! I am impressed with the drinks that they have been able to come up with over the last couple of years. Cool to see you guys involved with them! |
